Christine Evans - February 16, 2007
Here are some of the highlights
from the Interview.
Tommy: How are you doing
today?
Christine Evans: I’m
doing just fine thank you!
Tommy: Now your career
is well underway in Canada but now you’re focusing
on the U.S. How would you describe your style to someone
that hasn’t heard of you?
Christine Evans: My style,
I don’t know people ask that a lot and I guess the
best way that I can describe is that it’s got a
little bit of everything. A little bit of pop, a little
bit of rock. Some folk influence and yeah just a bunch
of different influences of what I listen to and what my
parents listen to and what some of my favorite artists
are so there’s a bunch of everything for hopefully
whoever wants to listen.
Tommy: So a lot of variety.
Christine Evans: Yeah,
I try to switch it up ya know like not try and record
everything in the same sound. Ya know what I mean, so
that it’s not the same all the time
Tommy: So probably the
best way for someone to check out your sound is to go
to ChristineEvans.com.
Christine Evans: If you
go to my website you can pretty much download everything
for free, at least you can listen to everything for free.
I really wanted to do that because I really believe that
everyone should be able to listen to my music without
having to necessarily buy it. Ya know I just want to get
my music out there and to get heard. Not necessarily -
even if you didn’t pay for it doesn’t really
matter to me.
Tommy: In just a little
while you’ll be making an appearance in connection
with the NBA All-Star game. Why don’t you tell us
about it?
Christine Evans: Well,
for the rookie sophmore game at the All-Star NBA Basketball
game I’m going to get to sing the Canadian National
Anthem and of which I’m very proud to be able to
represent my country. It’s actually going to be
the first time that I’ve sang the anthem at a basketball
game like this and so, yeah I’m pretty stoked to
go to Las Vegas. Yeah, it’s pretty awesome that
I get to do these sorts of things.
