What? Just two weeks after the announcement was made that Zendaya would star in Lifetime’s Aaliyah movie, it’s over. I guess that settles all of the controversy that followed after she announced that she’d be starring in the movie.

New Releases

Busch Gardens has added Bridgit Mendler to their Summer Nights concert series that kicked off last week with Hot Chelle Rae. The Disney Channel star is scheduled to perform at the park in Tampa, FL this Saturday, July 5th.

It’s been three weeks since Echosmith released their Acoustic Dreams (EP) and sales were strong enough yesterday for it to show up at 200 on the iTunes Pop Album charts. #keepyoureyesonthisact

Remember these guys? A-Teens, Amit Paul and Dhani Lennevald (right) reunite with backup dancers Christian Buenaventura and Chucky Klapow (left) in Stockholm, Sweden. #PopTilYouDrop

Jenna McDougall on Summer, Kalin and Myles STILL selling well, Final day of voting for Macy’s iHeartRadio Rising Star, Radio Disney Top 30 Countdown, Libby Hodges gets married, Behind the scenes image from Zendaya’s Material Girl photo shoot

June 22nd, 2014

Quote of the Day:

When I think of summer all I can see is the sun! It’s the best time of year to get the most out of your day and for me it’s all about being outdoors! Typically I’d be making a fresh juice, walking my dog before it gets too hot or taking her for a swim, catching a bus to the beach and listening to good music! My favourite way to end the day is outside on the grass watching the sky and talking crap with your best friends. Sounds cliche but it’s the little things!

They never saw it coming! Sales of Kalin & Myles Chase Dreams EP continue to be a top performer. Since debuting Tuesday at #3 the album spent a few days around #6 and has yet to drop lower than #20. It literally can’t wait to see where they debut on Billboard’s Top 200.

Today is the final day to cast your votes for the Macy’s iHeartRadio Rising Star. I’m not going to predict a winner, but will be giving my 50 votes to Paradise Fears. Head on over to Macys.iHeart.com to cast your votes.

The multi-media marketing campaign entitled, “Boardwalk Babe” will debut in August issues of fashion and lifestyle magazines, as well as online, outdoor, in-store and in Macy’s marketing collateral.

Madonna commented, “Zendaya exudes a confident, free spirit. We love having her as the new face of Material Girl.” Lola added, “I love how Zendaya makes her own style rules to fit her personality – that’s who Material Girl is all about, being yourself to the fullest.”
