This morning at 8am CST, WLTE – 102.9 Lite FM (Lite AC) will switch its format to Country and become Buz’n 102.9. Back in 1993, WLTE gave me my first legitimate radio job from promotions to on-air work. Thanks to amazing people like Promotions Director, Susan Pickarski and Morning DJ, Orly Knutson that made it one of the best experiences of my life. Yes, truth be told I loved the format… Celine Dion, Jim Brickman, Mariah Carey, Phil Collins, Richard Marx and of course plenty of Keith Thomas (via Amy Grant, Kathy Trocolli, Selena, and Vanessa Williams). So what’s wrong with this picture? Earlier in the week, Radio Disney taped a segment with all the contestants and announced who would be advancing. Forgive me for the rant, but errors like this happen on a daily basis because these people don’t pay attention (or listen) to the on-air product.
