Happy Birthday Camille Winbush, Allstar Weekend removed from Wikipedia, New Releases, Nick Jonas with a great debut, New material by Selena Gomez, Honor Society tops the Twitter Trending Topics, Manny On The Streetz in Super Bowl Ad, Keke Palmer tapes segment for The Tyra Banks Show

February 9th, 2010

Happy Birthday to Camille Winbush from The Secret Life Of The American Teenager.

Once again one of the world most visited websites shows that it is controlled by unpaid gatekeepers that have turned into dictators of pop culture. In January the page for Hollywood Records, Allstar Weekend was deleted from Wikipedia without a reason. All of the original data has been removed from the site. Unfortunately Google doesn’t cache Wikipedia, but they do cache sites that aggregate Wikipedia content such as Wapedia where we were able to find the original Wikipedia page. Do you think Wikipedia should be dictating to us if acts signed to a major label are relevant or not? Time to rally the troops and launch the assault on Wikipedia. Let’s see if we can get their page back online within’ a week. I know we can.

Honor Society: Can’t Box Me In (Single) – Check out this new dance track that will be featured on the US Olympic Soundtrack. Purchase at iTunes and support Tommy2.Net.

StarStruck: Soundtrack – songs from the upcoming Disney Channel Original Movie starring Sterling Knight and Danielle Campbell. Catch the premiere on Disney Channel this Valentine’s Day. Purchase at iTunes and support Tommy2.Net.

TobyMac: Tonight – Toby’s first new album in three years, featuring “City On Our Knees,” “Get Back Up,” “Tonight,” “Funky Jesus Music” and more, including guest vocals from Skillet and Relient K. A deluxe edition includes three bonus remixes and a DVD featuring behind-the-scenes footage and more. Purchase at iTunes and support Tommy2.Net.

Valentine’s Day: Soundtrack – featuring music by Amy Winehouse, Maroon 5, Joss Stone, Diane Birch, Leighton Meester, and more; and new songs from Taylor Swift, the bird and the bee, and Jewel. Catch the film in theaters Friday. Purchase at iTunes and support Tommy2.Net.

The Time Traveler’s Wife (DVD/Blu-ray) – Based on the popular novel by Audrey Niffenegger and starring Rachel McAdams and Eric Bana. Purchase at iTunes and support Tommy2.Net. [PG-13]

We knew it was going to be big! According to early numbers, the debut album from Nick Jonas will wind up in the Top 5 on Billboard. Nick is currently working on new music with Demi Lovato. The two just finished a song about her experiences over the last two months. (source: HITS Digital Ventures)

You know that guitar we mentioned that was autographed by Nick? Yesterday, the auction closed and the winning bid was $2,275.00!!! Best of all – 100% of the money will go to the American Red Cross, care of Haitian Earthquake Relief

Last night Honor Society became the #1 Trending Topic on Twitter! Now doesn’t that make you wanna do the Honor Roll?

Was that? Yes it was! The Bud Light — Light House Commercial that aired during the Super Bowl featured Manny On The Streetz from On-Air with Ryan Seacrest. According to USA Today’s Ad Meter, the advertisement was the 3rd most popular to viewed during the game. (See that look on his face? He looks like that every morning when he visits T2).

Push Stop. Over the last three days – Derek Ries, Nick Deturris and Steve Scarola of Push Play posted new blogs in which they wrote about the final chapter of the group. At this time the last confirmed show they’ll be playing is on February 20th. Their plans for the future… college!

Tomorrow, Keke Palmer will be taping an upcoming segment for The Tyra Banks Show in New York, NY. To get tickets, click here.

New Moon Exclusives, Ashlyne Huffs new music video, Dear John Premiere, Nick Jonas in Teen Vogue, Video for Something About The Sunshine is now online, OneRepublic performs All The Right Moves for MySpace, Studio Ghiblis new releases

February 2nd, 2010

On January 21st, Twilight fansite TwilightersAnonymous.com posted an article where Summit Entertainment comments on not having exclusives this year. They also went on to say that the standard DVD and Blu-Ray releases sold more than exclusive versions from Borders and Target. After saying that, Target announced 4 days later that they’d have an exclusive like last year. Yesterday, Borders did the same. The Borders edition will have exclusive packaging to compliment the Twilight packaging from last year and will come with a bonus medallion necklace, one side will be gold with the wolf pack’s tattoo and the other side will be silver with the Cullen crest. Exclusive bonus features will include previously unreleased extended scenes, interviews with the cast and director, red carpet footage from the New Moon premiere, and front row seats to The Twilight Saga: New Moon webcast. The promotional image for this set also shows additional photocards like those included in the Twilight edition last year, but they are not officially listed as part of the package. So much for no exclusives huh?

Jars Of Clay: Live At Gray Matters EP, Vol. 1 – featuring performances of songs from their lastest album, including: “Don’t Stop,” “Heart,” “The Long Fall,” “Weapons,” “Safe To Land,” and “Two Hands.” Purchase at iTunes and support Tommy2.Net.

Nick Jonas & The Administration: Who I Am – featuring his new single and title track “Who I Am.” Target has a bonus DVD featuring eight exclusive live video performances which are also available on iTunes. Purchase at iTunes and support Tommy2.Net.

TobyMac: Funky Jesus Music (Single) – another new song to countdown the release of TobyMac’s new album Tonight, in stores next week. Purchase at iTunes and support Tommy2.Net.

Fame: More Music From The Motion Picture – featuring even more music from the film, including Naturi Naughton, Kay Panabaker, Asher Book, and more. Purchase at iTunes and support Tommy2.Net.

Air Bud: Golden Receiver Special Edition (DVD) – This time out, Buddy, the hoop-shooting, hotshot canine, tackles a new sport—football. This special edition DVD features exclusive all-new bonus action: Sports Channel play-by-play quarterbacked by the Buddies! [G]

Amelia (DVD/Blu-ray) – starring Hilary Swank and Richard Gere and tells a tale of the romance, struggle and triumph of legendary aviator Amelia Earhart as she chases love and lives her dream. [PG]

Love Happens (DVD/Blu-ray) – starring Jennifer Aniston and Aaron Eckhart. Purchase at iTunes and support Tommy2.Net. [PG-13]

She keeps popping up all over the place! Ashlyne Huff continues to get decent exposure – here’s the latest from J-14. Expect the buzz to continue with her brand new music video for Heart Of Gold that went online yesterday. Click here to check it out at DailyMotion.

Last night, several of our favorites attended the world premiere of Dear John at the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, CA. Thumbnail shots from the event can be found at Globe Photos, including: Alexa Vega, Amanda Seyfried, Gregg Sulkin, Haylie Duff, Madisen Beaty, Max Ehrich and Tiffany Thornton. Pictured above: Max Ehrich (The Pregnancy Pact), Amanda Seyfried (Dear John) and Madisen Beaty (The Pregnancy Pact).

Nick Jonas will be featured in Teen Vogue’s March issue that hits newsstands on Feb 9th. To read the article can be read online at teenvogue.com – plus, be sure to check out additional pictures from his photo shoot and a look at his fashion timeline.

The latest music video from the Disney Channel Original Movie StarStruck is now on YouTube. Click here to check out the video for Something About The Sunshine by Anna Margaret featuring scenes from the film shot in sunny Los Angeles.

OneRepublic has been scheduled to perform their single All The Right Moves at the NBA All Star Game and at the Winter Olympics. Check out a brand new acoustic performance of All The Right Moves that the band recorded for MySpace’s Down The Front sessions. The intimate performance features Ryan Tedder’s stripped down vocals accompanied by a beautiful cello and xylophone.

In addition to the US DVD and Blu-Ray release of Studio Ghibli’s latest film Ponyo on March 2nd, Disney will also be re-releasing three Hayao Miyazaki classics as 2-disc special edition DVDs: Castle In The Sky, Kiki’s Delivery Service, and My Neighbor Totoro.

Tonight on TV, The Biggest Loser will be running a segment on Nick Jonas and his involvement with Feeding America. The show airs at 7pm Central on NBC.

Michael Jackson: This Is It (DVD/Blu-ray) – Best Buy has an exclusive bonus disc and a choice of three 3D backstage pass replicas (see packaging for details). Target has an exclusive Blu-ray/DVD combo pack and a free $5 gift card with the purcase of the CD. Also, get your free 3D glasses at Target to watch a special tribute to Michael Jackson during the Grammy awards.

Whip It (DVD/Blu-Ray) – Based on the novel Derby Girl by Shauna Cross and starring Ellen Page, Landon Pigg in his first movie, Drew Barrymore and her directorial debut, Jimmy Fallon, Krisen Wiig, Eve, and more. [PG-13]

You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown (DVD): Remastered Deluxe Edition

Last night, Corbin Bleu made his broadway debut in the Tony Award Wining musical In The Heights.

This Sunday, Honor Society will be featured on the Skate For The Heart TV special on NBC that was shot at the Sears Center Arena back in September. It will feature a performance of See U In The Dark that you can catch a preview of on YouTube. Other acts on the show include Jordin Sparks, KSM and Charice.

Now that’s some thinking out of the box! The Fueled By Ramen Store is now selling Paramore themed Valentine’s Cards. Hopefully on February 14th, That’s What You Get!

T2 Exclusive! Last year Twilight got a deluxe soundtrack before the DVD release and it looks like New Moon will get one too, only a little different. On March 16th (4 days before the DVD release), The Twilight Saga: New Moon Original Motion Picture Soundtrack Companion will be released. But instead of a couple new tracks, it will consist of the bonus tracks from the international copies of the soundtrack provided by artists that lived in the region it was released in with the exception of Japan’s track, Miliyah Kato’s “Destiny”, but that could be because she has it as a b-side to one of her singles and it wasn’t exclusive to the soundtrack. The artwork hasn’t been completed yet, but here is the tracklist for the CD and DVD.

CD
1. Lupe Fiasco – Solar Midnite
2. The Magic Numbers – All I Believe In
3. APM Orchestra – Die Fledermaus – Duettino: Ach, ich darf nicht hin zu dir
4. Eskimo Joe – Thunderclap
5. BB Brunes – Cavalier Noir
6. No Way Out – Sed

3. Death Cab For Cutie – Meet Me On The Equinox (music video)
4. Anya Marina – Satellite Heart (music video)
5. Lupe Fiasco – Solar Midnite (music video)
6. Hurricane Bells – Monsters (music video)
