As for you that were surprised that voting was over for your favorite acts, here’s a the original Press Release that says “Clear Channel listeners, iHeartRadio fans and Macy’s shoppers throughout the country will select their favorite up-and-coming artist through online voting at iheartradio.com/macys, which begins today and will run through May 4. The “Macy’s iHeartRadio Rising Star” artist who secures the most online votes, will have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to perform as an opening act on the iHeartRadio Music Festival stage in Las Vegas on Friday, September 21, 2012.” Looks like another case of a National Radio contest in which they made changes to the rules after launching it. Last night, Roshon Fegan and Chelsie Hightower scored a total of 28 points for their Rumba on Dancing With the Stars which puts them in second to last place (and 5th in cumulative points).

Actress/Singer Keke Palmer filmed a new music video for her song Love You and Hate You from the Nickelodeon TV Movie Rags which Keke stars in and produced! The soundtrack is scheduled to be released to digital retailers on Tuesday May 22nd and Rags will premiere on Nickelodeon on May 28th.

Yesterday, Disney Channel released a press release that titled ‘Disney Channel’s Magical 2011 Delivers Biggest Year, Earns Historic #1 Among Kids 6-11 in Total Day, Unseats 16 Year Incumbent Nickelodeon.’ While it’s great to see the new shows performing well, you have to remember there’s a million ways to twist these numbers to come up with interesting stats. One little factoid that stands out among the spin – they mention that all of their shows are top performs with the exception of one. Their new show So Random isn’t mentioned once.
