I guess we know now what happened when Justin Bieber and Cody Simpson spent some time in the studio this summer. Check out their new track, Home To Mama on Fahlo.me.

Spotify vs. Taylor Swift! USAToday.com has the latest on Daniel Ek’s response why Spotify is a good thing for 1989. Of course, when you’re Taylor Swift you don’t need a streaming service to promote your music, right? Yes, poor Daniel is a bit delusional.

Yesterday, Mindless Behavior began teasing fans via social media that something is Coming Soon. Can’t wait!

Yes, it’s true! There’s another teen pop music group out of Sweden and their debut will be feature Ace of Base covers. If this seems familiar, not only does A*Base start with an A and a star (like the A*Teens), but Marie Serneholt promoted the group last week on her Instagram. Check out a preview of Never Gonna Say I’m Sorry on SoundCloud. The single, is scheduled to be released on November 14th.

Variety.com has confirmed that James Maslow will star in the indie thriller Wild for the Night.

Actress Rosario Dawson lends her voice as a fiery and courageous fairy, “Nyx”, in the all-new Disney Fairies adventure, Tinker Bell and the Legend of the NeverBeast, out on Blu-ray March 3rd, 2015.

Last night, Actress Dascha Polanco (2nd Left) and family posed with Princess Anna and Queen Elsa at Disney On Ice presents Frozen at Barclays Center in New York City.

Tomorrow, Nick Jonas will be making a personal appearance at Lord & Taylor in New York City. Shortly after unveiling their new window display at 5:30pm on Fifth Avenue & 39th Street, Nick will be on the 3rd floor for a special meet and greet.

Stefanie Scott books another film, Cody Simpson and Justin Bieber in the studio, Demi Lovato to perform show for Microsoft, Megan and Liz featured at iTunes, Radio Disney Music Mailbag Results, Dr. Pepper releases new music by Tinashe, Peyton List appearance in Kentucky

June 12th, 2014

Is this year of Stefanie? As if being cast in Jem And The Holograms wasA.N.T. enough, she’s done it again. Deadline.com has the exclusive on Stefanie Scott landing a roll in the horror film, Insidious: Chapter 3. At this time the film is scheduled to be released on April 3, 2015.

This could be interesting? Yesterday producer Josh Goodwin posted a photo of Cody Simpson in the studio working on new music with Justin Bieber.

I think it’s safe to say for the first time ever that their will be more people at a Microsoft store than the Apple store. On June 21st, Demi Lovato will be performing at Roosevelt Field parking lot in Garden City, NJ as part of the Grand Opening of Microsoft’s new store. If you’re one of the first 200 guests in line to the store that day, you’ll receive two tickets to her performance that night and 1 ticket to attend a preshow Meet & Greet with Demi. The next 1,500 guest in line will receive two tickets. Fans will be allowed to begin lining up at 10pm on June 20th. #Allnighterbaby!

It appears as if this goin’ Country thing by Megan & Liz is paying off. Have you seen their new EP, Simple Life listed under New & Noteworthy in the Country section at iTunes? Currently it ranks 58th overall in the category of Country.

Last weekend on the Radio Disney Music Mailbag the song One More Minute by Capital Cities received a 60 percent pick. That’s one of the lowest approval ratings of the year.

Today, the second installment of Dr Peppers’ of One of a Kind EP’s will be released at Complex.com. These new sessions have been produced by The Hood Internet and feature music by Tinashe, RAC, Robert Delong, and Rockie Fresh.

Happy Record Store Day, Ariana Grande to premiere new single at RDMA’s, Justin Bieber steals a trick from the Jonas Brothers handbook on showing up Drake Bell

April 19th, 2014

Happy Record Story Day! Here’s one amazing disc worth picking up – Paramore‘s Ain’t It Fun 12′ vinyl.

Ariana Grande has announced that she’ll be premiering her new single, Problem, at the Radio Disney Music Awards next Saturday. My hunch is that it will feature some edits. Then on Sunday evening, after the RDMA special on Disney Channel, the song will be released on iTunes.

Mainstream Top 40 – MediaBase 24/7

3. Pharrell Williams – Happy
5. Demi Lovato – Neon Lights
6. Lorde – Team
9. American Authors – Best Day Of My Life
14. Paramore – Ain’t It Fun
15. Rixton – Me And My Broken Heart
19. Austin Mahone – Mmm Yeah f/Pitbull
20. MKTO – Classic
23. 5 Seconds Of Summer – She Looks So Perfect
30. Nico & Vinz – Am I Wrong
38. Hot Chelle Rae – Don’t Say Goodnight
39. Bruno Mars – Young Girls

History always repeats itself. While the tabloids are all over the fact that Justin Bieber showed up at Drake Bell’s album release party to steal his thunder, it’s not exactly the first time something like this has happened. In fact, it’s a lesson Justin learned first hand from the Jonas Brothers.

After finishing 2009 with a ton of buzz, Justin Bieber had clearly proven he was worthy to be the biggest act in teen pop music. Aside from his chart topping single One Time (remember the music video featuring a young Michelle DeFraites), Justin made world news headlines after a fan was injured as a result of a stampede at one of his mall appearances. In fact, his manager Scooter Braun was arrested for not helping to diffuse the dangerous situation. (News Report at YouTube).

Now fast forward to the March of 2010, when Justin Bieber announces the My World Tour just a week before the release of his full-length album, My World 2.0. Within’ the next month almost every show on the tour had sold out and pre-production began. To coincide with the release of the new album, Justin performed a handful of shows, including one in Australia where 8 fans were crushed. Bieber Fever had become a worldwide epidemic.

The first week of May, news surfaced that Justin Bieber would soon be arriving in LA for rehearsals. Then out of the blue, on May 10th, the Jonas Brothers announce they’ll be performing a rare FREE concert to kickoff their Camp Rock 2 summer tour (Facebook post)? That week, I spoke to a few connected people that happened to say, “you know what that show is all about right?” What I was told was that the show had been intentionally booked to coincide with the arrival of Justin Bieber in LA and serve as a message that he wasn’t bigger than the Jonas Brothers. In the end, they achieved what they wanted by packing the mall with thousands of people (including Justin Bieber fans), and to equal the Biebs, they even got sued by a fan that was crushed at the concert. #thinskinnedpopstars
