Jessie James rocks U of M, Shane Harper blows off fans, More changes with Top 5 in Macy’s iHeart Radio Rising Star, Big Time Rush to premiere video tonight, Nathan Darmody to release single, Flashback Photo with Savannah Outen, Rocko’s Modern Life Season 3 DVD to be released on July 3rd

Yesterday, Jessie James was featured as part of the University of Minnesota’s Spring Jam concert series. The free event at Coffman Memorial Union was open to the general public and in addition to the music, it included lunchtime snacks courtesy of Jimmy John’s and Taco Bell.
The show started off with a special introduction by Jessie’s fiancé and University of Minnesota Alumni, Eric Decker (Denver Broncos). On cue, the clouds rolled away and the sun came out as Jessie went into her single, Boys In The Summer which received a warm reception from a crowd that was familiar with her material. After a rocked out version of Wanted from her debut, she took a detour with Shania Twain’s Man I Feel Like A Woman and convinced those unfamiliar with her music that this was a show worth sticking around for. Next, she introduced two of her unreleased songs Gentleman and Bartender followed by Grace Potter’s, Paris (Ooh La La). After that college friendly track it was clear that you can’t write her off as just another country artist. She followed with her singles, I Look So Good (Without You) and When You Say My Name before finishing out the set with covers.
In addition to her flirty/energetic performance, Jessie managed to create some fun moments by pulling up the audience on stage. The most memorable occurred during the final number when one of the three guys on stage struggled to take his pullover off. After unintentionally drawing attention to himself, another guy decide to show off his gun show and abs by removing his shirt. As the song continued on, Jessie tried to get the other two guys to do so and had them blushing. After that fun, Eric Decker joined the band on electric guitar to finish the show.
Overall, the show was virtually flawless and you have to give Jessie credit for not using her set to showcase her music. Instead, she gave everyone what they wanted – a selection of her strongest material and a good mix of past and present covers. In doing so, she managed to attract a large audience that ended up walking away from a show that they enjoyed while thinking… dang, that girl can sing!

Say what? As promised, yesterday at 2:15pm Shane Harper arrived at KSTP TV Studios for Twin Cities Live. Although he threw the few people that were there to see him for a loop as he walked right past them talking on his cel. It was only after someone holding a poster board with his pictures all over it said “I hate to interrupt, can I get an autograph” that he stopped. He signed a few autographs, but didn’t have a whole lot to say and left after about :30 seconds. You can watch his six minute feature on TCL at TwinCitiesLive.com. #RockStarAttitude
