Where did it all go wrong? Back in March of 2007, Karleigh Santry launched the website JonasBrothersFan.com. After it began to take off, her sister Katie Santry joined the operation (in addition to their dad Patrick) and the next thing you knew they were getting private meet and greets. In just four years, the two have gone from being the Jonas Brothers Biggest Fans to cashing in on everything they ever had autographed by the boys. And let’s not forget the thousands of dollars the two made via Google Adsense from their website that was generously supported by the Jonas Brothers, their bootleg merchandise (Jonas themed shirts) that they sold via Cafepress, and then of course those jobs they were given last year by Cambio.com (via Jonas Management).
Perhaps, it didn’t go wrong… maybe they were always in it for the money?
To be clear on this, I don’t and won’t sell autographs or promo merchandise. In fact, at one time I even fired a T2 staff member for selling autographs on eBay. There’s just something wrong in every way about selling out your friends… Joe, Kevin, Nick – thanks for the memories that go all the way back to 2005! I will always treasure those special times, along with everything you’ve ever signed for me.
