Here’s a little something I think you’re gonna love! Australian act, Tonight Alive will be releasing What Are You So Scared Of? on February 14th. I’ve heard this female fronted pop-punk/rock band will be heading to the U.S. this spring and I have a very good feeling they’re going to make quite a splash. Check out their new single, Breaking And Entering on VEVO. Oh yeah, crank it up!

ABC News recently produced a video segment entitled, Tween-Age Dreams, where they interview ‘the man’, Radio Disney DJ, Ernie D. In it he says a handful of things that are quite interesting when you deconstruct them.

Part 1

When asked about the X factor that makes young stars rise to the top he gives a decent answer “it’s more of… what unique does that artist have to offer. What thing that’s unique does that artist have to offer.” Following up that response, he gives examples by naming the unique things several artists offer:

1. Shealeigh – Voice (sing)
2. New Direction – Good looking guys who can really sing.
3. Coco Jones – it’s her ability to sing, rap, dance and act.

After giving those example he goes on to say “there’s always something different” despite the fact that he clearly stated the one unique thing they all do was the same thing – sing. Seriously, this is news? Tomorrow, I’ll have Part 2.

Saturday night, the cast of Jessie got together to celebrate Karan Brar’s 13th Birthday. In addition to the cupcakes, they enjoyed pizza and a laser-tag. Pictured above: Chris Galya, Jennifer Veal (As The Bell Rings), Skai Jackson, Debby Ryan, Karan Brar, Peyton List, and Cameron Boyce.

It will be hosted for Devon Werkheiser, include a performance by Drew Seeley, and much more. For more information, visit LightsCameraCure.com. Last night, the Plain White T’s came through Minneapolis, MN for the second stop on their Wonders of the Younger Tour featuring Parachute and Miggs.

Plain White T’s – 75 minutes

At 11pm, the Plain White T’s came through the curtains of the big top to perform new music from their album Wonders of the Younger. The band made a great first impression with a circus style set, complete with a marquee featuring chasing lights. To continue with the theme, their guitars had been professionally painted to match album art. It all worked quite well despite the fact the show was in a small club. Each of the songs last night were performed with plenty of passion and Tom Higgenson’s vocals were as good as it gets. In addition to playing older tracks from recent tours, they pulled out the song Radios In Heaven (which they haven’t played live for sometime). Musically it was all there, strong vocals, drums, bass and guitar and most importantly the tempo of the show just flowed without a hitch. The encore proved to be the most emotional part of the night as Higgenson emerged on a table next to the soundboard to perform Hey There Delilah up and close with the crowd, who didn’t miss out on the chance to sing every word of the #1 hit. For a small venue, the T’s delivered a big show with a very polished sound. Even if you’re not a fan of the group, you should consider giving Wonders of the Younger a listen – and definitely check out this show if it’s coming to a town near you.

Best Song: Hey There Delilah

Pros: Tom Higgenson’s vocal performance was phenomenal. The set was solid and full of quality songs that were packaged in the right order.

Cons: There was some extra instrumentation that popped up here and there that wasn’t live… but you gotta hand it to them, they never started a song with a 4 count.

If you can’t get enough of Shake It Up‘s theme song by Selena Gomez, you’ll be able to pick it up soon on iTunes. The single is scheduled to be released on February 8th.
