Justin Bieber album proceeds to support charities, Will Selena Gomez rob a bank, John Lasseter receives star on Hollywood Walk of Fame, Megan and Liz on Rule The Mix, Destinee and Paris silly string Joe Jonas dressing room, Cambio lays off 3 more employees, Apple releases GarageBand for iPhone, Mindless Behavior scores 73 percent PICK on Radio Disney

November 2nd, 2011

Here’s seven more reason to pick up Justin Bieber‘s new album, Under The Mistletoe – a portion of the proceeds from each album purchased will be donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Pencils of Promise, Musicians on Call, Project Medishare for Haiti, City of Hope, the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and the Grammy Foundation.

Gangsta girls! Variety is reporting that Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens and Emma Roberts are in talks to star in Harmony Korine’s upcoming film, Spring Breakers. The film is based around four girls that rob a bank to fund their Spring Break trip.

Yesterday, Academy Award Winning Director John Lasseter received a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame surrounded by Cars 2 and other Pixar voice talent including Bonnie Hunt, Owen Wilson, Brad Paisley, Emily Mortimer, John Ratzenberger, Patton Oswalt, Don Rickles, Randy Newman and Cheech Marin. Lasseter’s star is the 2,453rd on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and is located in front of the historic El Capitan Theatre. You can view the ceremony on YouTube.

Megan and Liz can be seen in the latest episode of Disney’s online show, Rule The Mix. The two are also featured at ArtistDirect as part of their See the Music series. (And I have a feeling they have another feature somewhere else just around the corner).

Destinee & Paris say goodbye to Joe Jonas by redecorating his dressing room with a little silly string. Monday night was his final performance on the Britney Spears European Femme Fatale Tour.

T2 Exclusive: Last month Cambio.com went through a site redesign that was supposed to revitalize traffic. Looking back, it appears they were just rearranging the deck chairs on the titanic as it has I’ve learned they just laid off three more employees (in addition to their massive layoffs last Spring). The cuts included Lisa Hiser who was one of their top recruits when the site launched.

Rock… on the go! Apple releases GarageBand for the iPhone and iPad. Get all the details at Wired.com.

Last weekend, the song Girls Talkin’ Bout by Mindless Behavior scored a 73 percent PICK on the Radio Disney Music Mailbag.

The numbers are in for the Monday night premiere of ABC Family’s, The Lying Game. The show managed to draw 1.4 million viewers which was lower than the premieres of The Nine Lives of Chloe King, Pretty Little Liars, Make It or Break It, and Switched at Birth. We’ll just have to see what happens in week two. (source: Deadline.com)

Last Saturday, the song Twist My Hips by Tim James & Nevermind scored an 84 percent PICK on the Radio Disney Music Mailbag.

Is Cambio‘s future in jeopardy? Yesterday Bloomberg took a close look at their partner AOL and hinted that the company may be sold in the near future. Should that be the case, chances are that the new owner will drop online properties that are struggling to generate revenue. Without AOL’s support Cambio will cease to exist.

Today, Danny Devito (Actor, producer, director) will be honored wiht the 2,445th Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in the Category of Television. The event will take place at 6906 Hollywood Boulevard in front of The Hollywood Experience Store at 11:30 am. DeVito has recently completed work as the voice of the Lorax in the animated feature The Lorax, to be released in 2012 by Illumination Entertainment and Universal Pictures.

Tomorrow, The Official Twilight Convention will be visiting the Hyatt Regency Cambridge in Boston, MA. I guess I’m not the only one who had issues with certain people. Not only is Rob Hoffman the closest person to the Jonas Brothers to make a statement about the offensive behavior, but serves as the Creative Director of Cambio Music. Ouch!
