September 30th, 2012

Amy & Nick of Karmin take on a new role – Grand Marshalls in the Old Town Riverfest Parade. The small town in Maine was where Nick actually grew up. To read more about their appearance, visit SunJournal.com.

Anyone tune in to hear One Direction on the Radio Disney Top 30 Countdown yesterday? It sounded pretty obvious that Harry, Liam, Louis, Niall and Zayn weren’t in the studio with Jake and that the interview was conducted by someone else who was edited out. The segment also included a exclusive performance of What Makes You Beautiful. Hmm… apparently the boys love their outfits they wore in June when they visited Radio Disney, they seem to be wearing them again in this ‘new’ clip?

Drawing a crowd wherever they go! Action Item signs autographs for fans after their iHeartRadio show at Macy’s Garden State Plaza in Paramus, NJ.

Tomorrow, Frank + Derol will be heading out on the road to tour with Wolf Gang. You can win two tickets for you and a friend to see the show of your choice, plus Vans Girls accessories. It’s was just two months ago Radio Disney N.B.T. Season 4 winners Kicking Daisies underwent a lineup change and now it’s Season 5 hopefuls, Hollywood Ending. On Saturday, the group made the following announcement.

Dear our amazing friends and fans,

Mike Montalbano will no longer be performing and recording with Hollywood Ending. We’ve had the most amazing, unforgettable times with Mike and we wish him all the best with his future endeavors. We really can’t thank you guys enough for the continuous support you’ve given us. We think 2012 is going to be an amazing year for us and we can’t wait to experience it with you guys every step of the way.

Love,

Tyler, Cameron, Dan, & Chris

Last Thursday, Debby Ryan was profiled in USA Weekend for her work as a volunteer. It includes her encouraging kids by saying “People think we’re too young, too small, too singular or too remote. As a result, this placid, insecure face of apathy seems to be the trend, and it’s tragic. The coolest, most powerful thing we can do is fight for what we believe in.” Now it’s time to get at it!

Can you believe it? It’s been TEN YEARS since the A*Teens released Pop ‘Til You Drop! #Floorfiller

Ariana Grande celebrates her 18th Birthday, The music video for Unfriend You by Greyson Chance gets previewed at Ariana Grande’s Birthday Party, Action Item releasing new single produced by Nick Jonas, Collectible of the month, Celica Westbrook meets up with David Archuletta, Radio Disney Top 30 Countdown

June 26th, 2011

Happy Birthday to Ariana Grande (Victorious)! Not only is she an amazing singer and actress, but we both share the same birthday!

Can you say A-M-A-Z-I-N-G? Last night Ariana Grande celebrated her 18th birthday at Paramount Pictures Studios and it’s fair to say that she raised the bar significantly. The event included performances by Ariana, Greyson Chance, IYAZ, Taylor Dayne, Aaron Simon Gross, Elizabeth Gillies, Neil Haskell, Taylor Parks, Graham Phillips, Miranda Sings, and Patti Labelle. Plus, a first view of the music video of Unfriend You by Greyson Chance – which I might add was pretty awesome.

Guests included castmates from Victorious: Leon Thomas, Matt Bennet, Elizabeth Gillies, Avan Jogia and Daniella Monet. Also joining in on the fun were Ashley Argota (True Jackson, VP), Drake Belle, Giselle Bonilla (Supah Ninjas), Nat & Alex Wolff, Ryan Ochoa (Pair of Kings), Zoe Myers, Manny Streetz and many, many more!

Next month, Action Item will be releasing a new single produced by Nick Jonas. A music video will be released for the track as well.

Where has the time gone? This months collectible required a little dusting – it’s a Betacam SP tape (for broadcast) featuring multiple versions of Myra‘s music video to Dancing In The Street. On this day ten years ago she released her debut album on Buena Vista Records. About a month after that she became a staple on Radio Disney with the song Miracles Happen from The Princess Diaries and then joined the Teen Nick Tour featuring Aaron Carter, A*Teens and Play. Collectible status: Extremely Rare.

Celica Westbrook recently met up with David Archuletta at a writing session in Franklin, TN. Next month she’ll be heading out on the road with the No Bully Tour 2011.
