January 4th, 2018

Congrats to Adam Curry who recently won the prestigious Marconi Oeuvre Award for his work in Holland and inventing the Podcast. Not only was I a huge fan of Adam during his time on MTV, but his invention of the podcast has been a huge asset to the success of Tommy2.Net.

Random: Last month, I had the opportunity to serve as an Associate Executive Producer on his No Agenda Podcast, Episode 993 featuring special guest, Steve Pieczenik. While prepping for the show, Adam had some nice things to say about the audio hardware used for T2 interviews.

Tuesday night, Coachella released the lineup for their 2018 Music and Arts Festival. Wonder if a parody poster featuring teen stars will get more attention than the real thing? Oh wait, that happened last year.

Just before Christmas, the Soundtrack for the YouTube Red series, Hyperlinked featuring L2M was released. While available via streaming, the album is not available for purchase on iTunes in the U.S.? In the last six months it seems this up-and-coming super group has lost ALL momentum, in addition to losing one member – Lexi Drew (maybe she knew something we don’t). Anybody remember my thoughts that Hyperlinked would be a failure? May 19, 2017.

Laura Marano will be the Red Carpet Host at the Golden Globes this Sunday. She’ll be joined by Scott Mantz, AJ Gibson and Jeannie Mai. You can watch her via Facebook.com/goldenglobes.

Last night, Freeform premiered their new series, Grown-ish starring Francia Raisa and Yara Shahidi. The episode included the song, Waves by Natalie Major that was written by the singer, Rob Kleiner and long time T2 fave Tyler Shamy. The song will be released on iTunes and Spotify tomorrow.

Why support T2? Yesterday, our news featured a video by The Film Theorists about High School Musical’s Sharpay Evans and Zeke. Currently, T2 has the most comprehensive collection of original audio interviews from the stars from the DCOM, including Ashley Tisdale (Sharpay Evans) and even Chris Warren Jr. (Zeke). Also, there was a mention of Hayley Kiyoko releasing her first full length album this year. Did you know that T2 has been featuring Hayley and her music for over 8 1/2 years! Our complete 16 year history is all online and features facts that you will find nowhere else.
