Remember Jadyn? Over the past five years we’ve been reporting on Jadyn Maria – after signing deals that eventually fizzled with Sparrow, Virgin and Zomba in addition to an off night on ABC’s The One: Making a Music Star you’d think it was all over. She’s back and better than ever on Universal Motown with a new single Good Girls Like Bad Boys (listed above in New Releases). Just another reminder to keep believing! (Triva buffs, be sure to check out our coverage of her on July 20, 2006. Worth noting at the bottom is the mention of the premiere of When It All Falls Apart by The Veronicas.)

This week to classic teen TV favorites are headed back to the set. Alyson Michalka (Phil of the Future) begins work on Easy A and Malese Jow (Unfabulous) starts shooting You’re So Cupid with Jeremy Sumpter.

On Saturday Rob Pinkston, Victoria Justice (Zoey 101), Jessica Bailey (a “camper” from Camp Ronald McDonald), Devon Werkheiser, and Vincent Martella (Everybody Hates Chris) were on hand for the Camp Ronald McDonald fashion show in Los Angeles, CA.

Hey! Here’s the latest in Broadway news. Broadway producers are latching onto making movies into musicals. Legally Blonde just recently opened and it looks “like, OMG” hilarious! Other upcoming movies turned Broadway musicals are Shrek and Spider-Man. As of now, the infamous webslinger’s show has a price tag of $30 million making it the most expensive show in Broadway history.

The Broadway stage is star-studded right now: Ashley Parker Angel and Alexa Vega are starring Hairspray right now, Joey Lawrence is playing the money obsessed Billy Flinn in Chicago, and American Idol’s Tamyra Gray is scheduled to join the RENT cast at the end of this month!

Radio Disney does some housekeeping. It appears as if they’ve eliminated controversial artist Akon from their playlist. Just one week ago he had two songs featured on their Top 30 Countdown: It Don’t Matter (4) and Lonely (13). Recently Verizon severed their partnership with him as well.

For industry folks, the FMQB has an interesting cover story on The Radio Disney Effect. It’s got some good quotes from those within the industry about the medium, but tends to favor pre-packaged material for the bulk of its content. Click here to read more.

Coming Soon? Based on several rumor sites it appears as if the new Apple iPhones will be available as soon as June 15th.

Quote of the Day:

“We have been writing so many songs over the last few months. We feel like they are so strong. We feel like this will blow your minds. Soon you will get to hear them in a concert near you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Happy Birthday to Boo Boo Stewart of T Squad! Today he turns 13 years old.

Oops! Yesterday on the Radio Disney Music Mailbag they featured I Could Get Used To This by Everlife. The only problem was online it was listed as Vanessa Hudgens – Say O.K. When the song finished playing at 1pm, DJ Aaron K. reminded listeners to ignore the name on the page (Vanessa Hudgens) and that their vote for Everlife would count. Oh yeah, how could we forget – for those of you wondering Everlife’s cover of I Could Get Used To This by The Veronicas scored a 78% PICK!!!

Corbin Bleu has launched his online store! Now you can order t-shirts and posters that were previously only available to those attending High School Musical – The Concert. To check it out, click here.

Last week, KISS FM (Seattle) spoke with Ashley Parker Angel about his Broadway debut in Hairspray. To find out what he’s been up to and the new production, click here. (Mature Language)
