Yesterday on the Radio Disney Music Mailbag, Demi Lovato‘s new song – Gift Of A Friend received at 93 percent pick!

On September 29th, Sony will release 7 World Collide: The Sun Came Out, a 2-disc album that features KT Tunstall, members of Wilco, Ed O’Brien and Phil Selway of Radiohead, plus others all contributing to the tracks and songwriting. The album is to benefit Oxfam America, an international relief and development organization that creates lasting solutions to poverty, hunger, and injustice.

Now that’s what I call a party! Savvy’s Rockin Sweet 16 Party at The Geisha House in Hollywood, CA proved to be the place to be on Sunday night. It featured appearances by: Debby Ryan (The Suite Life On Deck), Samantha Droke (Princess Protection Program), Anna Maria Perez de Tagle (Camp Rock), Savannah, Varsity Fanclub, Vitamin C, Zoe Myers, Monet Monico, Malese Jow (Unfabulous), James Maslow (iCarly), Tyler Shamy, Jonnie & Brookie, Benji Caya, Ashlee Keating, Shelby Young (Days of our Lives), Taylor Spreitler (Days of our Lives) and more! The party was kicked off by the arrival of Savvy on the shoulders of Mr. Olympia 2007 – Will Harris, then it was time for fun on the dance floor!

Of course, not only did Savvy receive gifts – but VIPS were treated to a gifting suite that featured Primp clothing and the ultimate item… custom Savvy and Mandy Snuggies! After all these years, we finally have something that might dethrone the concert t-shirt, haha! Despite the rain and shine it was a good time for all at Lumberjack Days in Stillwater, MN. Savvy and Mandy along with Joey Page brought their Radio Disney hits and more to add some great memories to the summer of 2009.

Making their first appearance in MN, Savvy and Mandy brought plenty of entertainment to the stage with their fun personalities that ended up having to cover for technical difficulties that plagued their set. In fact, at one point they resorted to teaching the audience, the Hoedown Throwdown (which proved to be a great way to cover for a bad situation). During the 32 minute set featuring music from Here I Am, the two took the time to thank a fan named Dede who requested their song Shell Shocked 20,000 times on Radio Disney. The highlights of theirs set included Here I Am and Waiting For The Heartbreak.

Next up Joey Page turned it up a notch with his live band (whom he dubbed “the wimps”). Taking his surrounding into consideration he was quick to talk about the local favorits – the Minnesota Vikings and show off his new jersey. His 45 minutes set included Joey’s first single, Sacrifice, in addition to recent hits Girl Who Understands Me and Who I Am. However, the total rock out tune of the day clearly went to his cover of Soft Cell’s Tainted Love. For the track he brought up parents onstage to embarrass their children and seeing Joey dance with them provided a good laugh. His mom even joined in on the fun.

After the show, both acts took plenty of time to meet with everyone who stopped by. Fans were treated to multiple photos and autographs and plenty of chit chat. You can’t help but love shows like this!

Also, yesterday in Oswego, NY – Ashlee Keating, Keely Marshall, Savannah and Brock Storm brought their best to Oswego Harborfest. This week Brock will be heading to Minnesota for two special shows.
