Today the Drive Out Hunger Tour hits the half way mark and yesterday proved to be one of it’s biggest collection days yet with over 1,520 soup cans collected in Skokie, IL. While guests enjoyed a piece of Stefanie’s Ultimate Red Velvet Cake Cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory, they were treated to some great music by Tamar Kaprelian. Her acoustic set ran throughout the three hour event and featured material from her upcoming 2009 Interscope release. Stand out tracks included New Day and Saints and Sinners which were played multiple times. Also worth noting, is the fact she was accompanied by a familiar face on guitar. None other than Zoux, whom you might remember as the Music Director on Aly & AJ’s tours from 2005 to 2008. Fans could also pick up a copy of Tamar’s EP and Demo by Zoux with 100% of proceeds going to Help Feed America. For a complete list of remaining dates, click here.
Last night in Nashville, Guest was called for an opening slot for a tour passing thru town. Only instead of being a routine show, the headliner & second opening act never showed up to the venue. They didn’t let this stop them, and continued on as planned and turned their 4 song set into an intimate show for everyone in attendance (including Jordan who you might’ve seen on the Savannah and Kendra Show).
Saturday on the Radio Disney Music Mailbag, I Can Do What I Want by Ruby Summer scored a 91 percent approval rating.
