Today we’ve got two of T2’s faves celebrating a birthday! First it’s Demi Lovato….

and of course Elias, who turns 2 years old. (Learning a dance step or two from Carolyne of pureNRG).

Now that’s what you call Wanted! Jessie James self-titled debut album not only managed to become #1 on the iTunes Pop Album Chart and #1 on Amazon’s MP3 chart – but now makes a solid Soundscan debut at #24. It was also the #7 Digital Album. This last weekend, Jessie’s virtual concert at Planet Cazmo rocked their serves with over 50,000 fans logging in to check it out. (You can check out a clip of the event on YouTube… fun stuff, whooo!).

On Friday, August 28th, immediately following the premiere of original movie Wizards of Waverly Place The Movie, Disney Channel will air a special half-hour programming event, Lights, Camera, Take Action! Backstage with Disney’s Friends for Change, taking viewers behind the scenes during production of the campaign. So far the single has secured the No. 9 spot on Billboard’s Top Digital Song Chart with over 87,856 copies sold on iTunes.

Tokio Hotel are officially back! The German sensations who took the US by storm with their Scream debut are set to unleash their sophomore album Humanoid on October 6th (it will also be available as a CD/DVD combo). In anticipation of the release, Bill, Tom, Gustav and Georg have unveiled a preview of their first single Automatic which, according to MTV.com, is “full of huge-sounding guitars, recalling U2 or Coldplay or even Angels & Airwaves.” To hear a :45 second preview of the track, head on over to MTV.com.
The press begins for Jazmin Whitley, star of MTV’s House of Jazmin. Teen Vogue has a new interview with the fashion protegee.

Here’s a few pictures from the premiere party for MTV’s House of Jazmin at Live on Sunset. Both Starmaker singers, Monet Monico and Marissa Shipp attended the party together.

Yesterday, we had news on a song being pitched to be on the New Moon soundtrack by Frank and Derol. Considering the fact that the Twilight soundtrack continues to be a strong seller there is a buzz about who might be on it. Last year, Stephenie Meyer blogged about Paramore, so it was no surprise when they wound up on the soundtrack. On Monday, her entry recommends the music she’s discovered this summer. One act worth noticing on this list is Meese.
