Tommy2: Hey it’s Tommy2 and as we head into the summer we’re being joined by Emma Fuhrmann who stars in the film, The Magic of Belle Isle that will be released in theaters on July 6th. Emma how are you doing today?

Emma Fuhrmann: I’m good. How are you?

Tommy2: I’m doing great myself! Now before we get into your latest project, why don’t you tell us a little bit about yourself – like how old you are and what things you enjoy in life, like some of your favorite hobbies.

Emma Fuhrmann: Okay, I’m ten years old and I really like to design dresses or outfits I should say. And I like to swim and play tennis and read and play with my dog and spend time outdoors with my friends.

Tommy2: Now since you’re a big fan of swimming, are you looking forward to the Summer Olympics this year?

Emma Fuhrmann: Yes, I am. I can’t wait to see who wins.

Tommy2: Do you have any favorites swimmers?

Emma Fuhrmann: I like Michael Phelps. I think almost everyone likes him.

Tommy2: We’ll have to see how many Gold medals he racks up this year.

Emma Fuhrmann: Yeah!

Tommy2: Based on your age, I’ll bet you’re big into music. So what artists are you enjoying these days?

Emma Fuhrmann: I like Taylor Swift and Adele. I really like their songs.

Tommy2: Okay, and what’s a movie you’ve seen recently that you really enjoyed?

Emma Fuhrmann: You know, it probably wasn’t just recently but I really like all movies, but I really like Soul Surfer. The latest movie I saw was Chimpanzee which was kind of cool because I like how they filmed it. And how they were outdoors and all kinds of stuff, so I’d like to be on a set that’s kind of like outdoors and in the wild like it was when we filmed Magic Of Belle Isle because, it’s outdoors on the lake.

Tommy2: Yeah, especially those type of pictures on the big screen or in HD are just amazing aren’t they?

Emma Fuhrmann: Yes, they’re really cool.

Tommy2: And let’s move on to how you ended up getting involved with acting at such an early age. What got you into the business?

Emma Fuhrmann: I started modeling at 18 months old, and then you know it was kind of like the next step to start acting. And so I went on my first audition for a local commercial for the Dallas Morning News and then, you know I really liked the audition and acting in general and I ended up getting the role. And now I wanted to keep doing it and here I am today talking to you!

Tommy2: And as I mentioned earlier, on July 6th you’ll be starring in the film The Magic of Belle Isle. Why don’t you do the honors and tell us about who’s in that film?

Emma Fuhrmann: You know it’s Morgan Freeman and Virginia Madsen and it’s Directed by Rob Reiner with Madeline Carroll and all kinds of people like that, and everyone was so amazing. It was such a great experience. I’m so happy to be a part of that film.

Tommy2: Yes, so definitely you’ve hit the big time with this one, huh?

Emma Fuhrmann: (Laughter)

Tommy2: And how about telling us about the story and where your character fits in to it?

Emma Fuhrmann: You know, it’s about Morgan Freeman’s character Monte who lives next door to my family and I become interest in him because he’s a Western writer and I want to learn how to write and how to be able to put my imagination into words. So it’s about our journey together through the summer about him teaching me how to write.
