What a year for Jamie Grace! It all started with a Grammy nomination, next she won the 2012 Dove Award for New Artists of the Year and this last week she was listed as a finalist for the Billboard Music Awards! Oh yeah, Jamie also won the top category at T2 this last year – Breakout Star of 2011.
Megan & Liz remain at #1 in the iHeartRadio Rising Star contest. Despite slipping a few spots last week, they’ve been the dominant act for 18 days now. However, we still don’t know if the contest is based on cumulative votes or a 24 hour voting cycle that begins prior to each round? I’ve made multiple calls to Clear Channel PR and they have yet to provide the actual rules for this contest…. so there’s a little fuel for you conspiracy theorists. The ultimate fairytale! Walt Disney Studios has announced they they’ll be working with red-sole designer Christian Louboutin to celebrate the magic and inspiration behind Cinderella. Louboutin, was invited by Disney to bring Cinderella to life with a fashion forward twist. As part of this collaboration, Louboutin will design a Cinderella slipper putting his own magic touch on the world’s most famous pair of shoes. This announcement precedes Louboutin’s 20th Anniversary exhibition at the London Design Museum and the and the global release of Disney’s animated classic, Cinderella Diamond Edition on Blu-ray this Fall.
