We already know how talented Dan Brozek of Action Item is at playing drums, but in case you need a reminder there’s a great new video on YouTube as he bangs along to So Good by BoB.

Eighteen-year-old singer Manika will be releasing her debut, five-track EP entitled The Middle of Hollywood EP, under Wamaframa Records/CCA Entertainment and distributed by BDG / RED (A division of SONY Music Entertainment) on May 22nd. Yesterday the singer announced that she’ll be heading out on the road for 20 shows with One Direction this summer.

While much of the focus has been on the Macy’s iHeartRadio Rising Star competition this month, former #1 Crush (Radio Disney Incubator) vocalist, Monica Matocha was profiled at Clear Channel’s iheartradio.com for its New! Discover & Uncover section. Last November, she earned top honors for Best Female Vocals and Best Pop Artist at the Houston Press Music Awards. The release date for her debut album will be announced later this year.


BONGO has launched a custom Facebook application called: How Well Do You Know Your Best Friend on the BONGO Facebook page. To kick off the launch, BONGO is sharing an exclusive video featuring BONGO girls, Ashley Benson and Lucy Hale. Users will be able to answer the same questions about their best friends to prove how well they know each other. Check out the their Facebook page to view the new app and all the new features.

Disney Channel and Disney XD have announced an open casting call in Kansas City, MO, in search of talented young actors and actresses with comedy skills, and singers and dancers with acting ability, who will be given the opportunity to audition for authorized casting directors.
Registration and auditions will be held on May 26th from 9 am – 3 pm at the Kansas City Convention Center, located at 301 West 13th Street in Kansas City, MO. An application and monologue will be provided upon arrival. Parking is available in surrounding parking lots for a $7 – $10 fee. (Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian).

Last Friday, the wildlife conservation organization, WildAid held their annual gala in San Francisco, A. Hayden Panettiere and Jared Leto were among the stars raising money for WildAid and awareness of its wildlife conservation programs around the world. WildAid’s list of celebrity ambassadors includes Leonardo DiCaprio, Harrison Ford, Yao Ming, Kate Hudson, Jackie Chan, and Carmelo Anthony.
