This is no April Fools! Bridgit Mendler has signed with Hollywood Records and her debut album is due in early 2012. Remember last year when Bridgit spoke with me she said “Hopefully at some point I’ll be able to show people my actual songs, maybe put together an album but, you know it’s something I do for myself.” Congrats! The soundtrack for Big Time Rush has been certified Gold by the RIAA. Things are looking good for them and there are a couple of things on the calendar that can get them back in the Top 30. Let’s just say a red hot performance at the Kids’ Choice Awards and the Easter Bunny, who loves to give tween and teens soundtracks along with chocolate eggs.
Last night there was quite a buzz about Jonas Group Management working to negotiate getting Joe Jonas the opening slot for the Britney Spears tour. At this time there have been NO confirmations of the story.

Destinee & Paris continue to add new content to their YouTube account. This time it’s a performance of the track The Big Bang by Rock Mafia. The two, recently worked with Rock Mafia who produced Pia Toscano‘s recording of Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me for the American Idol Top 11 Redux compilation.
God Bless The USA part 2? Word is out that Disney stars are working on a song for the children of Japan after the recent tragedy. Will an anthem of peace and hope soon be hitting the airwaves on Radio Disney? Did you know it’s been almost 10 years since Radio Disney’s programming genius, Robin Jones tapped a relatively unknown act named Jump5 to record God Bless The USA after the 9/11 tragedy. I guess you could say the rest is history as they went on to sell over 1 million albums.
