The Buddies are back with a prequel, The Search For Santa Paws. The story goes back in time to tell the story of how Santa Paws became Santa’s favorite dog.
Just like many famous classic holiday tales, this story centers around children that have lost the spirit of Christmas. Santa and his new dog, Paws travel to a New York to renew the interest of the season in the hearts of children. After Santa loses his memory, it is up to Paws and a handful of friends to carry out the mission.
As always with Disney Blu-ray titles, the HD transfer is always amazing. Even though it’s a lower budget production, you’ll still get a crisp and clean image without artifacting.
Extras
• An Interactive Animated Pop-Up Book
• Sing-Along mode

While the film presents no original content to older viewers, it’s got all the necessary elements to keep those around 8 years and under thoroughly entertained. They’ll also enjoy some of the familiar faces (and voices) that comprise the cast, including: Madison Pettis (Willamina), Christopher Massey (the voice of Rasta) and Mitchell Musso (the voice of Santa Paws). There’s just something about talking dogs that kids can’t resist.
