After the big deal about Selena Gomez having her band (or using that as a tool to market her as something different than all the other Disney stars turning in to singers), she’s only being promoted as solo for this. At this time it hasn’t been established if CHR/Pop are going to refer to her as a solo act, but odds are strong they well (we do).

If you haven’t been to the Nick Jonas MySpace, now’s the time! Yesterday the debut release by Nick Jonas & The Administration, Who I Am was posted there in it’s entirety! Click here to check out the new music!

Getting excited for Alice In Wonderland? Yesterday, Avril Lavigne dropped by KIIS FM for the world premiere of Alice during On Air with Ryan Seacrest. To listen to the song on YouTube click here (odds are good this link will be pulled from the site today).

This time, the video is for real! Yesterday Allstar Weekend shot a music video. My guess is it’s for Just Can’t Wait To Be King based on the fact a lot of work is still being done on their debut. Today, they’ll be shooting again for this mystery video. (Guys give me a holla, I need the facts).

Ranetki drummer Niuta Baydavletova accepts the award on behalf of the group from Google Russia for being the #1 searched entertainer of the year for 2009. Congratulations Ranetki! Is T2 the only site in the U.S. covering this act that is the equivalent of Hannah Montana (including a TV show) in the largest country in the world?

The new pop/rock act Avenue 52 (featuring Beau Evans) plans to make a big splash this week with a performance at the Hollywood Knights Celebrity Basketball Tournament on Saturday in Claremont, CA. The Knights team will feature Cody Linley, Jesse Metcalfe, Michael Copon, Nicholas Braun, Robert Adamson and many more! For more information about the game, click here. Also, their single Simple Girl will be be making it’s debut on iTunes (I’ve heard it and you’re gonna love it! Be sure to head on over to the Avenue 52 MySpace. There’s a good chance you’re gonna like what you hear.
Did you notice in our news stories from today that two major music releases on Walt Disney properties premiered elsewhere than Radio Disney? The single by Avril Lavigne – Alice (Walt Disney Records) and the full album Nick Jonas & The Administration – Who I Am (Hollywood Records).
Don’t forget tonight at 8pm Central, Lifetime will be featuring an encore of The Pregnancy Pact.
