Jump5 has added an appearance in Birmingham, Alabama this Saturday meet fans and sign autographs.

Play’s self- titled debut holds at Billboards 80th position! How long can this last? Thanks to all of you out there spreading the word about this terrific release. They put on a great performance at Miss Teen USA with Chris Trousdale. Bow Wow’s medley featuring Basketball and Take You Home was impressive as well.

Last Friday I had a chance to check out Alicia Keys at the MN State Fair. It was a treat to hang out with friends Amanda, Joe, and Kelly and take in the show. I’m not a huge fan of Alicia’s but can appreciate talent – which she has tons of. The concert lasted almost two hours … which is almost twice as long as her Songs In A Minor CD. By the time she had finished her fourth song over one hour had elapsed. Then the audience was treated to her buddies Freak Nasty and Anointed who drew more reaction out of the crowd than she previously had. The set included covers of A Song For You (Leon Russell), Light My Fire (The Doors), and How Come You Don’t Call Me Anymore (Prince). The set was also downhill for me around the 90 minute mark, Alicia’s family friendly show at the time went from PG to R… whatever? Oh yeah, for you history buffs… even with her five grammy’s she was barely able to draw half as many people as Aaron Carter’s remarkable show last year.

Aaron Carter made the critics list of MN State Fair unforgettable shows. You can check out the listing at the Star Tribune. Click here for more.

Yesterday Pepsi-Cola dropped Ludacris from their ad campaign. The decision was reached after numerous complaints by consumers.

Other national news yesterday included the RIAA’s web site being hacked. It displayed messages about file sharing and how piracy can be beneficial, including a link to Cnet that had statistical data to back it up! Oh well, some of us were laughing.
