Interview: Lucas Cruikshank

Tommy2: Hey it’s Tommy2 and here with us today we have Lucas best known as Fred Figglehorn on YouTube. Lucas what’s up?

Lucas Cruikshank: Not much, how are you doing?

Tommy2: Doing good. Now I hear you’re out in California, what’s up with that?

Lucas Cruikshank: Yeah, I’m out here filming The Fred Movie. It’s been a blast so far, it’s been awesome.

Tommy2: Have you been able to take in any of the local scenes there. Are there things you like to see out there?

Lucas Cruikshank: Yeah, the first time I came out here like three years ago I did all that tourist stuff but this is like, I’ve been out here a few times so. But when my Grandma came out here a few weeks ago I showed her. We went to Hollywood Boulevard and the Chinese Theatre and showed her the Hollywood sign and all that kind of stuff. It’s pretty crazy being out here, especially during in December cause I’m so used to snow and out here it’s sunny and stuff. It’s weird?

Tommy2: Now just a month ago you released It’s Hackin’ Christmas with Fred and why don’t you give us the rundown on that release?

Lucas Cruikshank: Umm… well It’s Hackin’ Christmas is a holiday album that I made with the music producers and it turned out really good, I mean… umm there’s two original songs on it that I wrote with the producers, and then there’s two songs where Fred covers classic Christmas songs so….

Tommy2: Yeah, why don’t you tell us about the producers you worked with on those songs?

Lucas Cruikshank: I worked with Robbie Nevill and Matthew Gerrard and they’re really talented I can’t believe that they can write songs at the blink of an eye. It’s crazy I would never be able to do that and they’ve written for a bunch of people, they’ve written for Jesse McCartney, Jordin Sparks, Miley Cyrus and a bunch of others

Tommy2: So now on their wall with all the people they work with they’ve got your picture up there.

Lucas Cruikshank: Hahaha… yeah!
