Happy Birthday Madisen Beaty, Orianthi on MTV, Aly and AJ at Nylon shoot, Jonas Brothers Awards, The Bird and the Bee artwork, Radio Disney Top 30, Allstar Weekend to chat on Stickam today

February 28th, 2010

Happy Birthday to Madisen Beaty from Lifetime’s The Pregnancy Pact! This weekend she’s been spending some quality time with the family at Bear Mountain.

MTV.com has added some amazing videos featuring Orianthi. Click here out as she talks about her guitar playing and even shows off a few licks.

Yesterday Alyson and Amanda Michalka of 78violet took part in a photo shoot of Nylon Magazine’s annual Young Hollywood Issue (May). Is that a good thing? Last years cover featured their hot picks – Kat Dennings and Olivia Thirlby who haven’t exactly set the world on fire. Then again atleast they weren’t associated with one of the worst teen movie releases in history. Bandslam barely earned 5 million dollars U.S.

Last Wednesday, the Jonas Brothers won the following awareds at the 2010 NME Awards in London – Worst Band and Word Album. Before you get too upset, keep in mind they were alongside Paramore in the Worst Band category and U2 in Words Album. Hmmm… looks like NME might take home our award for worst awards show. Not a chance, you know that award is saved for the Teen Choice Awards, where celebrities pretend to thank the fans in a completely stage show.

Here’s the artwork for the bird & the bee‘s new album.

This week Naturally by Selena Gomez only moved up one spot and Amazon was selling the digital release of Kiss and Tell at the fire sale rate of $2.99. Is it too soon to say the album and single have lost their momentum?

After having problems with her label, even being dropped just days before her sophomore album was set to release which effectively cancelled the album entirely, Fefe Dobson is back with Island Records. While the song is anything but new, having first been released in September 2008, a new digital single for Watch Me Move will be released on March 9th. Could this mean her newest album Joy will FINALLY be released? Here’s hoping it does well and Island comes to their senses and releases Sunday Love somehow. With so many “manufacture on demand” and “direct to consumer” product lines where products are pressed specifically when it’s ordered, there should be no reason to have it remain unreleased.

Roll reversal! Last week, Brittany Hargest (formerly of Jump5) was an extra on the set of the film, Love Don’t Let Me Down in Nashville, TN. She got the chance to be in the front row during a concert scene featuring the stars – Gwyneth Paltrow, Leighton Meester and Garrett Hedlund. Not only that but Brittany slapped hands with Gwyneth. When asked about it she said “you know that was the first time I’ve ever slapped someone’s hand in concert.”

Today Lifehouse will be premiering Smoke & Mirrors in full on their official MySpace page, then at 3pm Central, Lifehouse will host a live chat on UStream.com to provide a track-by-track commentary on their new album, and afterward will answer questions from fans.

Today at 1pm Central, you can Pick of Kick the Anna Maria Perez de Tagle‘s cover of Part Of Your World that will be on the upcoming DisneyMania 7 release. To vote online, click here.

At 2pm Central, you can watch Emma Roberts in her summer of 2007 movie release, Nancy Drew on ABC Family.

A last second addition! It’s just been announced of my new faves, Tamar Kaprelian will be opening for Adam Lambert tonight at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio, CA.

Tomorrow there will be multiple appearances by Disney Channel stars at World Of Wheels events!

Brenda Song will be signing autographs from Noon to 4pm at the River Centre in St. Paul, MN.

Jake T. Austin will be signing autographs from Noon to 5pm at the Cobo Centre in Detroit, MI.

Did you notice… Orianthi‘s recent success on Pop radio is resulting in some nice sales. It just up 56 positions in the last week.

New Jersey based Rock & Pop Festival The Bamboozle will hit the road for their 3rd nationwide tour this Summer kicking off May 21 in Columbia, MD. The tour features headliners Boys Like Girls, All Time Low, Third Eye Blind, & LMFAO, along with a stacked billed of support and is set to hit 26 major U.S. cities with their all-day event with 2 stages.

There goes their street cred. Yesterday, 3OH!3‘s song Follow Me Down became the number 1 played song on Radio Disney (which previously was Naturally by Selena Gomez). Guess that will explain the influx of Soccer Moms at their shows. (source: MediaBase)

Did you vote yet? The clock is ticking and today is the final day to vote for the song New Moon written by Amy Westbrook in the NSAI Song Contest Presented by CMT. Click here to vote, and be sure to watch the great music video to the song by Celica Westbrook on YouTube.
