Quote of the Day:

“I’ve become a cartoon. Nobody seems to get that how I am on The Simple Life is a character. I even know what a Wal-Mart is. I play dumb like Jessica Simpson plays dumb. But we know exactly what we’re doing. We’re smart blondes.”

Paris Hilton

The Cheetah Girls turn up the heat for their ‘So Hot Summer’ Concert taping at Disney’s California Adventure Disneyland Resort. Over the last week we’ve had glowing reviews of several shows in the Los Angeles area. Well, it’s time for yet another one.

After an intense week of preparations, the Cheetah Girls were ready to pounce. This group has literally gone through a major transformation from last years Christmas Tour. With a new album featuring production that far surpasses their debut, a new movie and a fall tour the girls were ready to nail every move. Their set included the new tracks ‘The Party’s Just Begun’ and ‘Strut’ along with their hits ‘Cheetah Sisters’ and ‘Cinderella’. The only hiccup of the night occurred when the girls went backstage for a costume change with their headset microphones still live. The crowd went silent with curiosity wondering if they might hear a repeat blunder. However this time the girls happened to catch it and the mics were turned off a few moments later.

While this act tends to draw criticism of being manufactured, Sunday at Stage 17 in the Hollywood Pictures Backlot they had all the chemistry they needed to put on a performance worthy of praise… even though after the set they admitted that they were a bit nervous about a harsh critique by T2. If your looking for some fun, be sure to catch them on tour this fall with Miley Cyrus.

Last night Aly & AJ drew about 850 friends and fans to the House Of Blues – Hollywood, CA. Probably the one thing missing that kept them from a sell out was… The Jonas Brothers. As the crowd began to fill up the main floor, it was only a matter of time before they spotted Ricky Ullman who was seated in the balcony and even took a snapshot of the crowd to capture the moment. The show opened with a performance by Curb Records artist Frankie Jordan that might’ve been a bit mature for the young crowd. It included her new single ‘Hot Girl’ and a PG-13 version of the song ‘It’s A Beautiful World’ (which was previously released as a single by Jump5).

Around 8:30pm, the girls kicked of their one hour performance! They blew through their songs with a little bit of dialogue between the songs, including a thank you to their ‘Hot’ Grandfather for coming, and Aly even took a short break to drink ‘Smartwater… that makes her feel like a genius.’ The only reference of the night that seemed a bit odd was when they mentioned ‘Rush’ being their first single (‘Do You Believe In Magic’ was released as a single a full year prior to ‘Rush’). However, when it came time to get serious about their lyrics you could tell songs such as ‘No One’ and ‘One Of Them’ truely came from the heart. The show finished with their new MTV hit ‘Chemicals React’ and followed with ‘Do You Believe In Magic’ as an encore.

Just as fans thought the excitement of the night had ended they were shocked to see Joe and Kevin of The Jonas Brothers out on the street in front of the House Of Blues talking with fans. The guys managed to drop by after an appearance at the ‘Smet Launch Party’ (Ed Hardy Vintage Tattoo Wear) on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles, CA.

7. Relient K – High Of 75
15. Jessie Daniels – Everyday

Ashley Tisdale has been booked to appear on ‘The Tonight Show’ on August 8th!

Haylie Duff is the newest cast member of the Broadway musical “Hairspray”. The CW Television Network isn’t writing her out of their hit show 7th Heaven though. They’re having Duff film on Mondays (her day off from the musical) and are flying out Tyler Hoechlin (plays Martin Brewer on the show) to film their spots for the show. Duff’s character is primarily only in interaction with Hoechlin’s character so only the two will be filming their segments in New York.

A new trend of delaying digital releases by major labels is causing a bit up an uproar from music fans. To read more, click here.

“Saw pirates, loved pirates, can’t wait for 3!”

The Jonas Brothers and Jump5 finish up their visit to the OC Fair with a rare treat for the fans. It all occured during Jump5′s ‘We Are Family’ when Joe made his entrance to the stage on a scooter. Next was Kevin who believe it or not pulled off a few back handsprings. Nick also joined his brothers as both acts wrapped up the night singing and dancing together.

This week look for Hannah Montana’s (Miley Cyrus) new song ‘Pumpin’ Up The Party’ to debut on the radio.

Lindsay Lohan is the latest to find herself on ‘The Smoking Gun’ website. They managed to get their hands on a letter to her from the CEO of Morgan Creek Productions that states she will be held ‘accountable’ for not showing to the set. Apparently things aren’t going how they’d prefer on the set of her new film ‘Georgia Rule’.
